Many moons ago... (Like 13+ years ago) I was fresh out of Interior Design school where I received an associates degree in Interior Design right after completing a Bachelors Degree in Studio Art. Working different odd jobs, just trying to find my place in the world, I became a new mom in 2011, & decided to be a stay-at-home-mom. During those long days, I needed a "creative outlet" between nap time and feeding a new baby- so I began using leather & fabric scraps left over from my Interior Design boards to make jewelry for myself. Over time, I began giving those creations to friends as birthday & Christmas gifts... then their friends wanted to purchase them, and then I started doing local vendor events,
baby in tow.
I had my 2nd son in 2012 and by that time, I had really started to hone my skills as a jewelry maker, throwing in fun pillows, brooches, cork boards, bowties and other random things that I enjoyed making! Over the years, I began focusing more on jewelry and less on the other things.
Fast forward several years... A LOT of changes have taken place in my life. I'm still creating jewelry from my home studio, but I've gradually noticed a pivot in the way I create and design. I've recently picked up painting again... as well as teaching myself how to do digital art. In 2023, I was commissioned by some friends to paint my biggest painting to date (a mural!) at their boutique & it has been a therapeutic outlet for me to paint again.
I am forever thankful for customers who have become like family to me. So many that I have never met, but have become my biggest supporters over the years!! I CANNOT wait to see what the future holds for our brand!!
